Round Table Conversation

Starting at 2 pm on Tuesday, October 31, a round table conversation will be staged with this year’s winners. At this event, the journalists will talk about the methods and techniques they used and the stories behind their prize-winning work.

Intended to encourage an exchange of experiences between professionals and to share knowledge with journalism students and other people interested in the subject, this is a pioneering initiative in the history of journalism awards in Brazil and, since the first edition, it has been organized by the journalists Sergio Gomes and Aldo Quiroga, and moderated by Angelina Nunes and Paulo Oliveira.

Everything is organized to provide students and scholars of journalism with the knowledge about the methods and procedures that are “under the surface” of some of the media reports that are recognized as the most important of the Brazilian press.

This year, the 6th Round Table Conversation will be coordinated by the OBORÉ agency, the Vladimir Herzog Institute, Abraji, the São Paulo State Federation of Teachers (FEPESP) and the São Paulo Catholic University TV channel (TV PUCSP), with the support of Anhanguera and a reporting and broadcasting pool formed by: TV PUCSP, CNU (University of São Paulo TV channel), TV FEPESP (FEPESP TV channel), Rádio Brasil Atual, OBORÉ, Reporter of the Future Project and the communication staff of Abraji, the São Paulo Union of Journalists and the Vladimir Herzog Institute.
