On Wednesday (20th of October 2021), at 7 p.m., the report “Anti-gender Offenses in Brazil: State Policies, Legislation, Social Mobilization” will be launched. Sign up with this link, to follow.

The survey was conducted by Conectas, Observatory of Sexuality Policies, Educational Action, Brazilian Association of Gays, Lesbians, Bisexuals, Transgender, Transsexuals and Intersex (ABGLT), National Association of Transvestites and Transsexuals, Latin American Council for Women’s Rights – Brazil, Human Rights and LGBT+ Citizenship Center of the Federal University of Minas Gerais and IPAS.

The document contains an in-depth analysis of the Brazilian´s view between 2019 and 2021, taking stock of anti-gender offensives, especially on State policies and legislative initiatives.

The debate was attended by Sônia Corrêa, from ABIA (Brazilian Interdisciplinary Aids Association), Marco Aurélio, from NUH (Nucleus for Human Rights and LGBT Citizenship) at UFMG, Denise Carreira, from Ação Educativa, Bruna Benevides, from ANTRA (National Association of Transvestites and Transsexuals), Beatriz Galli, from CLADEM Brasil, and last but not the least is Gustavo Huppes; international advocacy advisor at Conectas.
