Conectas and Sesc Pompeia now accepting registration for the 4th Ideas Fair

Twenty projects will be selected to be exhibited at an event to commemorate 70 years since the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.

In December, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, a document adopted by the UN (United Nations) after the Second World War and that sets out the basic, fundamental rights of all human beings, is commemorating its 70th year.

To mark the date, Conectas, in partnership with Sesc Pompeia, is holding the 4th Ideas Fair on 16 December, in Sao Paulo. As in previous editions, the event will bring together 20 projects focusing on the promotion and realisation of human rights. Registration is open until 2 December.

Activists, students, communicators, researchers, collectives, social movements and other groups and people who have initiatives linked to guaranteeing and promoting rights are eligible to participate. Information on selection criteria and the registration form are available in the notice.

A total of 15 projects will be selected by the curatorship team, made up of members of the Conectas Communications team and of the socio-educational department at Sesc Pompeia. A further five initiatives will be chosen by the curators along with partner organisations. The results of the selection process will be published on 10 December on the Conectas site.

The 4th Ideas Fair will receive registration of projects in the following categories: book, multimedia, documentary short film, monograph, arts, pamphlet and photography. The Exhibitor’s Manual, attached to the notice, provides information on how each initiative will be displayed and what resources will be available to participants. Exhibitors will receive $200 to help with the cost of food and transport.
