From 24 to 26 August, Conectas is hosting three online workshops focused on litigation and climate activism to foster discussions on climate justice and human rights. Sign up via this link by 20 August.

“Workshops on Climate and Human Rights – Constructions for the future of climate activism: litigation for climate justice” will consist of talks led by experts in human rights and climate, as well as practical activities, focused on engaging new stakeholders and lawyers in the justice and climate litigation movement. Sessions will take place on the Zoom platform and educators from overseas will be provided with simultaneous interpretation into Portuguese. The course has the support of the Climate and Society Institute (iCS).

For more information:

At the opening of the workshops, on 24 August, Conectas will be launching the e-book “Clima e Direitos Humanos: Casos e Relatos” (Climate and Human Rights: Cases and Testimonials), a collection of articles that arose out of a partnership between Conectas, iCS and JOTA. The texts present concepts, testimonials, debates and cases related to climate change and human rights.
