Sesc and Conectas open registrations for 6th Ideas Fair

Twenty projects will be selected for exhibition at an event in celebration of International Human Rights Day, in December, at Sesc 24 de Maio; find out how to submit your project

The 6th Ideas Fair, an event created by Conectas and organized by Sesc 24 de Maio in commemoration of International Human Rights Day, has opened registration for exhibitors.

After profound changes in the field of human rights in recent years, marked by the Covid-19 pandemic, the fair has resumed its activities with the purpose of enhancing creative encounters and establishing working relationships consistent with the commitment to life.

As in previous editions of the event, 20 projects aimed at the promotion and realization of human rights will be selected for the exhibition. Submissions will be received from October 5 to 23, 2022, exclusively by digital means.

The event will take place on December 3 and 4, 2022, from 11 am to 6 pm on Saturday and from 11 am to 5 pm on Sunday, at Sesc 24 de Maio (Rua 24 de Maio, 109 – República) in São Paulo.

Projects are eligible from students (university and high school students), researchers, artists, journalists, independent communicators, non-governmental organizations, social groups and movements, non-profit organizations and other people who develop projects on the subject of human rights in the following categories: Visual arts; Audiovisual (documentary and fiction up to 25 mins); Photography; Social or community initiatives; and Journalism.

The projects will be selected by the curation team, which is made up of professionals from Conectas and Sesc, prioritizing those with the greatest potential for interaction and engagement with the public at the event. The team will also consider racial diversity, gender and sexual orientation in the selection of projects. More details about the selection criteria, as well as the registration form, are available in the call for projects.

Each exhibitor will receive a daily allowance for food and travel. The event is not competitive and does not involve any type of award. The call for projects contains information on how each initiative can be exhibited and what resources will be available for the participants.

The result of the selection will be released on November 16 on the websites of Conectas and Sesc.
