Research reveals profile of potential high-income donors to human rights organisations

An original piece of research carried out by Conectas and FGV-CEAPG will be published at an event in São Paulo for fundraisers and NGO management

An original piece of research by Conectas Human Rights and CEAPG (Research Centre on Public Administration and Government) at the Getúlio Vargas Foundation outlines the social, demographic and behavioural profile of potential Brazilian, high-income donors.

With a view to understanding the motives and interests of this segment of the population, the Pesquisa Comportamental sobre Doadores de Alta Renda (Behavioural Research on High-Income Donors) seeks answers on how and why this public would donate to human rights causes.

This project has the support of the BIS Fund at GIFE (Institutes, Foundations and Businesses Group). The study intends to generate understanding about philanthropy and the culture of donating to human rights in Brazil and to encourage an exchange of information in order to strengthen tertiary sector organisations.

The report and an internet site, that will provide microdata from the research for the purposes of further cross-referencing, will be launched during the event. The event is free, but you need to sign up in advance. Drinks will be served after the presentation.
