High school students (from public and private schools), university students, researchers, social groups and movements may register, until December 7, their research, documentaries, books, artistic works or other projects for the Human Rights Fair.

The purpose of the event, to be held on December 10 in the offices of Conectas in São Paulo, is to commemorate International Human Rights Day with a big gathering of students, teachers, activists, groups, movements and organizations that work with the topic. It will also be an opportunity to exhibit projects that promote civic awareness and human rights and that denounce violations in Brazil and the world.

“At this fair, people who are working or have worked with human rights will be the protagonists. It will be an opportunity to put students who are already developing high quality projects on human rights in contact with organizations and movements that work in this field,” explained Jessica Carvalho Morris, executive director of Conectas.

To participate, fill in the form and explain why your project is important for building a better world. The assessment criteria will be:

    • Relevance of the topic for human rights;

    • Objectivity, clarity and creativity in the presentation of the proposal;

    • Suitability of the presented proposal to the contemporary context;

    • Only projects concluded between 2013 and 2015 will be considered.

    • Projects are eligible even if they are still in progress.

If you are interested in participating as an observer, you can fill out the registration form clicking the “participant” status. A total of 20 places will be reserved for this category.

When the fair takes place, the guests will be able to circulate among all the works on display while the exhibitors verbally explain the goals, methodologies and any impacts of their projects.

Come and commemorate International Human Rights Day with Conectas and see what students, teachers, groups and organizations have been doing to build a better and fairer world.
