Events marking the 3rd year of tragedy in Brumadinho, see agenda

The Acts promoted by families, survivors, as well as, social and religious entities ask for justice and reparation for the lost and affected lives by the dam failure in 2019

The event will commence this Saturday (22nd of January).  Family members, survivors, including social and religious organizations will hold a series of events, in person and online, to mark the 3 years since the rupture of Vale’s B1 dam in Brumadinho (MG). This tragic event occurred in 2019, the and left 270 people dead and six other missing till date.

The agenda includes, vigils, masses, activities with family members, among other activities. The purpose of the events is to fight for justice for the lives that were lost and affected by the tragedy.

9 am – Mass, presided over by the Archbishop and CNBB president; Dom Walmor Oliveira de Azevedo

10:30 am – Walk until the signpost

11 am – Visit to the families of fatal victims

12pm – Mass at Nossa Senhora das Dores Church, in Córrego do Feijão

7:00 pm – Mass at N. Sra. Rosário Sanctuary presided over by, Dom Vicente Ferreira
