Conectas launches public notice for litigators of the future

Public notice wants to promote training, mentoring and promotion of legal clinics, legal practice centers and student entities

Conectas Human Rights launches, this Monday (1st of Aug), the call for litigators of the future, with the purpose of promoting training, mentoring and promotion of legal clinics, legal practice centers and similar student entities, which is established within the scope of Higher Education Institutions (HEI) in Brazil. Register at this link.

The public notice aims to select 4 legal clinics or similar university bodies, that are established within the scope of HEIs in Brazil, primarily based in the North and Northeast regions of the country.

The selected entities must nominate 5 members,either undergraduate or graduate students, that will undergo an online training cycle on strategic human rights litigation and must commit to developing an applied project and participating in a face-to-face meeting at the end of the project.

To ensure the execution of the submitted proposals and to promote strategic human rights litigation, Conectas Human Rights will donate up to R$25,000.00 (twenty-five thousand reais) to each of the selected entities.

Below are the documents required for registration:

  • Curriculum of the members indicated by the legal clinic or similar entity;
  • Project proposal applied in strategic human rights litigation;
  • Proposal for financial execution of the project;
  • Presentation of a letter signed by the coordination of the clinic or similar entity and by the board of the Faculty of Law, demonstrating support and commitment to carry out the submitted proposal.
