Vladimir Herzog Award names finalists for 43rd edition; see the results

The winners will be announced on Saturday, October 16, starting at 2 pm, in a virtual public session



The organizing committee of the 43rd Vladimir Herzog Journalism Award for Amnesty and Human Rights on Thursday, October 14, released the list of finalists for the 2021 edition of the award. 

On Saturday, October 16, the committee will meet in a public session to choose the winners. The public session, from 2 pm to 5 pm, will be broadcast live on the YouTube channel of the Award.

For this edition, 700 entries were received in the award’s seven categories. The entries were assessed by a commission formed by 36 journalists and artists, and also five writers who serve on the board of UBE (Brazilian Union of Writers), who were responsible for evaluating the Non-Fiction Book category.

NON-FICTION BOOK

According to the regulation for this edition of the award, “in the Non-Fiction Book category, the entries will be assessed in a single stage following the issuance of an opinion that justifies the nomination of the winner”. The announcement will be made on Saturday, October 16, at a Public Judging Session (2 pm to 5 pm on the award’s YouTube channel).
