Malala and the threats to education are topics of the third episode of “Cara Pessoa”

The podcast, produced by Folha and Conectas, is released every Friday on all the main audio streaming platforms



On Friday, October 30, the third episode was released of the podcast produced by the newspaper Folha de S.Paulo in partnership with Conectas. The topic of this episode is the story of the Pakistani activist Malala Yousafzai and the threats to education as a human right.

Besides discussing the life of the activist for female education and gender equality, from the attempt on her life to being awarded the Nobel Peace Prize, the episode also features Eliana Souza Silva, who talks about the emergence of the organization Rede da Maré and the work it does in the community of Maré, in Rio de Janeiro.

As interviewees, the program features the professor Thiago Amparo, the sociologist Neca Setubal and the economist Naércio Menezes.

Hosted by the journalist Fernanda Mena, the podcast is available every Friday, at 9 am, on all the main audio streaming platforms.

The narrative of the episodes adopts a format of reading letters that are addressed to the listeners. In this manner, various stories of human rights thinkers are told in a light-hearted and creative way.
