Conectas launched its Justice Program in 2001 with the objective of promoting access to justice and responding to severe human rights violations, by laying the foundation for pro bono legal servicesto be practiced in Brazil, and by creating a mechanism by which top lawyers could take on important cases that would open up avenues to justice for some of the most marginalized in society.
