The first such network of its kind, Conectas’ Global South Program is distinctive for being created in the South, by a southern human rights group, to increase the individual and collective influence of human rights activists and scholars working throughout Latin America, Africa, and Asia.  The program offers a one-of-a-kind forum to help them:

  • Transcend the isolation in which many of them work

  • Share comparative experiences and expertise

  • Infuse their activities with information about the latest developments in the field

  • Acquire the skills needed to professionalize their operations

  • Extend their reach

  • Increase their presence and influence within the United Nations system and

  • Collaborate on issues, and develop alliances, where the potential exists to move shared advocacy agendas.
