Ford Foundation supports the consolidation of new leadership from the Global South
Conectas Human Rights is among the organizations selected by the Ford Foundation to "bring those southern hemisphere voices into the global human rights dialogue." In all, seven organizations were identified as partners of the Foundation and will receive technical and financial support to strengthen themselves.
"The human rights global agenda will only be effective and a true reflection of national realities when the voices and organizations of the Global South are heard and connected. We see this moment as an important recognition of that, » said Lucia Nader, executive director of Conectas.
Created 10 years ago, Conectas develops projects for the realization of human rights in Brazil and other countries of the Global South - Africa, Asia and Latin America.
"Each of our projects is developed in conjunction with a network of partner organizations. We wish to share with each of them the recognition for the results achieved, "added Juana Kweitel, director of programs at Conectas.
