DPJ of Vila Velha (ES) / 2009

The JUSTICE PROGRAM aims at preventing and reversing practices of human rights violations in Brazil involving public and private actors, and at strengthening democratic institutions through judicial, administrative and political actions.

To this end, it develops activities to participate in the constitutional debate and carry out strategic litigation, advocacy and awareness raising strategies.

The Justice Program consists of the following projects:

Criminal Justice and Prison System: strategic litigation and advocacy
Brazilian Supreme Court: participation in the constitutional debate

In 2011, the Justice Program also started developing a pilot project on the responsibility of companies in human rights violations.
