Civil society criticizes the lack of regulation on sponsorship of events for the Judicial Branch

In a public statement, Conectas joined other organizations to reassert the need to regulate or ban sponsorships to assure the autonomy and independence of the Judicial Branch. The Brazilian Constitution (article 95, sole paragraph) bans the receipt of “payments or contributions from persons or public or private entities, with the exception of cases determined by law”.
