Criminal Justice Newsletter: issue no. 2

Conectas, in partnership with the Sou da Paz Institute and the Catholic Church’s Pastoral Carcerária prison care service, publishes newsletter on the project to monitor legislative and executive branches

The second issue of the newsletter “Criminal Justice” emphasizes the importance of passing a law banning oppressive searches of people who visit their relatives in prison.

The newsletter also carries a letter exposing the prison policy issues that the three partner organizations consider priorities, namely women prisoners, education, health and the creation of external, autonomous and independent oversight offices in the government departments responsible for the prison administration.
